What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
Could be a routine day with lots of photo-op "activism," or...
...could turn nasty. Are you taking any out-of-the-ordinary steps as precautionary measures? My Mrs. is off tomorrow so by agreement she's staying home with the dogs and her semi-pistol while I'm at work, home alarm armed. We'll go out after I get home and do the shopping thing (LOTS of things to buy tomorrow...), but I'll be carrying the 1911 with spare mags. And you? |
Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
I'm glad I don't live in California or some other such state, that's for sure.
On May 1 I fully intend to pay my rent. Other than that, business as usual. Any attempts to attack me will be met with waves of peppergas and hails of bullets, same as always. The two biggest things I think will prove to be important in the case of any potential Asstlan race riots but I don't see being done much are doublestack handguns and 1lbs medium fog pepper spray units, maybe the grenades, too. Area of denial works against large groups, the gas always disperses them. If I thought I might be caught by hundreds or possibly thousands of racist rioters that may be armed I wouldn't want to be needing to change mags every 7 or 8 shots. It might even be useful to have something like a Kel-Tec Sub-2000 handy, along with 30rd mags. |
Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
I'm not expecting trouble here. If I wanted to run an errand near a march route the traffic jam would be my only concern.

Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
I just realized that I'm Irish-Mex, so that means I'm only working hard for 1/2 a day then get drunk.
We have some latinos here but shut down the city? No way. Beside, it's the 1st of the month aren't the welfare checks coming out. Man this could be a real cluster you know what. This I will say, come to this Country and share the dream, break our laws don't expect to stay. My Great Greant Parents came here on a boat standing, not crawling under a fence. OK,OK Glock 19 w/HP's |
Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
Tomorrow there will be no trouble but on May 5 it will be like New Years with the bullets flying..... Feliz cinco de Mayo....upssssss did I say that? :Sorry:

Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
Anybody who needs a good woman should look for a latina who is working instead of protesting. :Zzzz:

Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
Right now, and for the next day or so I am east of Tucson, Az. Regular migration route just along the minesite.
But there are more Border Patrol along here than I have ever seen. Yesterday I saw one of the BP with a whole truck full of illegals. According to the long-time residents here the influx, at least through here, is down a lot. The beaners are pretty low key. The ones I've seen, met, and talked to don't seem aggressive at all. Can't see anything happening around here, period. With that said, I will be doing a recovery at the mine at daybreak by myself, as usual. If I'm wrong and the great takeback for Aztalan, or however the hell you spell it causes armed uprisings by the "others", then I probably won't be posting anymore. Dirt-nap time. The world is ending in the morning-films on the evening news! Just my 1/1000 gram of Au! |

Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
I just heard they canceled it where I live and their going to sign and petition instead of skipping work. Not sure if that is true though but it looks like it might rain tomorrow anyway so I don't see people outside protesting heh.

Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
Kind of reminds me of when SBC bought SNET in CT a few years back, a friend of mine was management in SNET, Union caused some problems and a strike from snet employees, the buy out was sorta of quiet at that time. two months after the strike SBC comes in and cuts tons of jobs...., what was then speculated was SBC started the strike to see how well the company could run without all of those employees. Ask anyone who worked for snet...great co. great retirement, not hard work payed well, now that is gone.
The similarieties. How many jobs and how many employers are really going to be affected. Gas stations, self serve. Okay maybe not in NJ maybe that's why they are really finally pushing for self serv. By the way I'm origenally from CT, I do pump my own gas in NJ, SHHH don't tell, the workers don't seem to mind either. Restuarants, okay some might be hurting, but hey, if the unemployed really want to work... http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t08.htm Table A-8. Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
Between my fresh high-n-tight, and the many, many spare mags I'll have on my tommorrow (not to mention a backup gun), I'll be ready and the po-po will think twice about popping me if they get confused. Being 6'4" helps to keep me from being mistaken as a mezzican just as well as the lilly white skin
I plan on not being more than about 8 miles from home tomorrow. I should be able to make it back to the big guns. I'm tempted to bring the Uzi out tomorrow. Nothing says "Hey beaner" like an Uzi with a 32 round mag. |

Hey.....I actually met The Duke one time in a hotel lobby in Springerville, AZ ( he had an ownership in a ranch there )......I remember being impressed with how little hair he actually had.....ahahahahahaaa.....
As for today, probably throw an extra Glock mag in my pocket, and other than that, nothing. On my way out the door to go pick up a pallet of canning jars I ordered from the hardware store. |

Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
Saved 10 minutes getting to work in Houston.
It appears that most of the immigrants in our 20 story building are here... The hot meal of the day in the deli is burritos... I won't waste my time with these temper tantrums. |
Re: What, if any, precautions will you take for 1 May?
L.A. freeways are a WHOLE lot faster out my way. Same with the city streets - NO bumper to bumper at all!
Think we could talk 'em into 364 additional days of "boycott"? Oh yeah, I ordered a couple cases of ammo, too (anti-boycott, you might say...). |
